Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-09. This page says what data we hold about you, why, and how to have it deleted.

TODO(owner) — add the registered company name and postal address before launch. Until then, contact us at hello@moderntaichi.com and we will identify ourselves on request.

**When you buy a course.** The email address you enter at checkout, the course, the amount, the currency, the PayPal order and capture IDs, and the date. This is our order record.

**When you create an account.** Your email address, a hashed password (we never see the password itself), and when the account was created.

**When you watch a lesson.** Which lesson you watched, how far you got, and whether you finished it. This is tied to your account so the site can show your progress and pick up where you left off.

**In server logs.** IP address and browser type are recorded by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and troubleshooting, for a short period.

We do not collect payment card details: PayPal handles those. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not share your data with advertisers.

  • **Supabase** (database and sign-in) and **Cloudflare** (hosting and email delivery) process data on our instructions, under their own privacy terms.
  • **PayPal** sees your payment details for the transaction.
  • **YouTube** receives your IP address only if you press play on a lesson, and then applies its own privacy policy.

Nobody else.

Account and order records are kept for as long as your account exists, and for the period afterwards required by tax and accounting law (TODO(owner): confirm the retention period for your jurisdiction). Watch progress is deleted together with your account.

Write to hello@moderntaichi.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and data. We reply within two working days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the rights set out in the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. The version that applies to your purchases is the one published on the day you buy.
